Sweet Persimmon Shake
It's almost Thanksgiving! Let's give thanks to our health by gifting ourselves with a decadent, delicious and nourishing sweet treat that won't leave us feeling guilty...yet uplifted and satisfied. What is it you ask? My Sweet Persimmon Shake. Persimmons are in season from October thru December, so it is the perfect time to grab some of these beauties on your next grocery trip or visit to the local farmers market. This unique orange fruit contains high levels of dietary fiber, potassium, magnesium, calcium, iron and manganese ~ as well as Vitamin C and beta-carotene. All that, combined with their sweet flavor, make for a perfect addition to a fall dessert.
2 Fuya Persmimmons (sliced into quarters, stem removed)
1/2 cup Blueberries
2 cups Spinach
1 Tablespoon Omega Oils
1 Tablespoon Hemp Seeds
8 ice cubes
1 cup Vanilla Almond Milk (click here for recipe)
Rinse fruits and veggies. Toss above ingredients into blender. Blend. Top with a dash of cinnamon and enjoy! It may even make you want to go dance in some leaves and enjoy that fall weather...
